Vision and Mission

     At Harbor Christian we honor individual learning needs so that students can excel in an environment where they are appropriately challenged, yet not overwhelmed.  Students have the opportunity to explore individual interests, grow their strengths, and receive one-on-one support from skilled and caring teachers in small nurturing classrooms. 

     Academic, social, spiritual, and emotional support are enhanced by exploring opportunities in the community, field trips, special events, the arts, and interacting with nature. 

Highlights for 2024-25

       It has always been our desire to serve all students, including those with learning challenges.  A Special Education Consultant on staff provides individualized instruction and identifies resources to help each student succeed.  Working with students, parents, and other classroom teachers, plans for appropriate strategies or interventions for academic success are implemented.
    Recommendations and goals contained in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and other educational plans are considered. The special education program structure depends on students and their needs, and whether students are enrolled full-time, or on a part-time basis.

We also offer the following:

 A Homeschool Hybrid Program (options for families committed to home education, but who also desire opportunities offered to full-time middle and high school students).

Beyond High School (Post-Secondary Transition Assistance).  The road to adulthood for youth with disabilities is filled with opportunity and can be an overwhelming experience. At Harbor Christian Schools we are equipped to continue working with students after graduation to bridge the gap between high school and college and/or employment. Our Special Education Consultant will work with each student and their families on an individualized basis through the transition process.
